So sorry about the terrible happenings in your state with the Tornados. The loss of life is terrible and you all have my deapest sympathy. I do hope that you and the animals are safe and that the zoo escaped any damage. God Bless.

Hi. We were members of the zoo and have now moved to Missouri. My daughter still talks about the great times that we had at the zoo. We managed to go there every single weekend, Saturday and Sunday for our walks and we knew every animal by name. We even got to play with the baby tigers and loved watching them grow. We so miss everyone there, all of the people were so very nice and friendly and answered all of my six year old’s questions. Miss you all a bunch and will be back to see you soon.

Just a week ago on our last day in gulf shores we went to the zoo. It was great! :D While my sister briana (6) went to see kangaroos I went to see the wolf pups. They were soooo sweet . My faveorite pups were Jet and her sis. What was neat was that my male lab’s name is Jet and he’s got a brother named Trip.
That zoo is awsome!!!! Likke my Greatgrandmother says The littler the better! That fits this Zoo!

My favorite pup was Jet and her sister. Here are two funny things: They pulled on my pony tail and my lab pup’s name is Jet. BEST ZOO EVER!~! May be little, but my grandmother says the smaller the bette!r

I love coming to Gulf Shores and have taken my nephews and their families. They visited the zoo and loved it with their 2 year old daughter. I have to admit that CHUCKIE is the only alligator that I can remember making CNN and got national and possibly international media coverage. I am glad that there is such a nice zoo like yours in Gulf Shores! Hey you guys do an awesome job! Can’t wait to come again but i will have to find a job to pay for the trip. I haven’t missed a trip to Gulf Shores in several years but due to getting laid off back last year it may be awhile but I will return! great job zoo crew and liveeyenet.com

We live in Arizona but make a point to visit the Little Zoo during our annual trip to see our family in Alabama. Our trip just wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the zoo to interact with the animals and to see the new babies. There were several highlights last year: holding the baby kangaroos, playing in the tent with the Lemurs and seeing some other new babies. We can’t wait to see the baby tigers!

My daughter and i use to go to the zoo here in Gulf Shores almost every week.
Thanks to the beautiful animals and the wonderful people who care for them, my daughter had grown up to be a devoted animal lover who sees the value of taking care of all the earths creatures.
This kind of lesson cant be taught in a classroom.
God bless everyone who has worked so hard to make this zoo a place of tranquility and beauty as well as education and caring

    Hi guys,
Today was my first (and certainly NOT last) visit to this amazing zoo. Being from Alabama, I have heard so much about the zoo and today really cemented how amazing of a place it is. I was able to do the “Outback Encounter” and got to meet Mate. I am a huge animal person and really do not know why I am in college (joke). I would love to do something with animals and today made me realize it even more. But thanks for allowing visitors to really see how dedicated to these animals that you guys really are. =]

We visited last week and were greatly impressed by the intimate nature of the zoo. Your staff was incredibly informative and friendly, especially around feeding time. The tiger cubs were as cute as can be.

Keep it up and good luck with new facility! See you next year.

We had a great time at the zoo a couple of years ago and Patti was great at looking after myself and my wife. We called again there last year on our way from Texas to Atlanta and it was great to hear they are moving premises to a larger venue on higher ground.

We are from England, UK and we absolutely love this zoo, its staff and the animals. Had fun playing with the webcam today, that’s very cool.

We wish this zoo was closer to home, or we lived closer to the zoo, Alabama is such a lovely place, peacful, laid back and we love it.

Do anyone know what is the detailed names, other than bear and tiger, of these animals? And some fun facts about them? I’m doing a project by watching these animals, and would love if I had more information about the animals and their stories (like how the got there) to help me better my project. =D

This is a wonderful zoo.I’ve been going down to see it since 1996,when they brought “Lady” the lioness to safety after a very rough life as a “pet”. It was Zooland Animal Park then and I’ve loved it ever since. The whole staff is so dedicated to the animals and I’m so glad they will be moving to a larger and safer area in the near future. I know the animals will love the bigger park and I look forward to visiting.

I started watching this show when you were having to get the animals off the property during the storm. I was so moved by your genuine commitment to the safety and welfare of the animals. I don’t think that is a standard for every zoo. You guys are very special. I hope you can always keep up the good work! The animals deserve it.

Although we have never visited we did watch all the episodes on Animal Planet concerning your hardships and rebuilding after the
hurricanes. We live nearby another small but beautiful zoo in
Battle Creek, MI called Binder Park Zoo and have watched it grow
into a very beautiful and habitat friendly zoo. If we ever have the
chance to visit you we absolutely will! We have been wondering
about your move and are hoping that Animal Planet will either do
another series or at the very least a update from time to time as
you make your move. All the best from Michigan!!
